Book Recommendations to Help Develop an Entrepreneurial Instinct

how much does it cost to make a donut

As someone who has worked with entrepreneurs and business owners for over 20 years, I noticed that many lessons can be learned from simply watching or reading the experiences of business leaders. The truth is, learning is a super power for those who own a business. You will need to read, watch, and pivot in order to succeed. But the work doesn’t stop there. You’ll need to take it a step further and develop your entrepreneurial instinct.

Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of sharing some of my favorite books with the readers of Shepherd.com. This website is the go to place if you are looking for recommendations for books around a specific topic, theme, or mood. To make finding books easy, each list includes a book you already love, an author you adore, or a Wikipedia topic that interests you.

Here’s what I recommended for readers looking to develop their entrepreneurial instinct. So many times, we see leaders (myself included) end up in “decision paralysis” and default to taking no action at all. Leaders can have all of the information and indicators that a decision is the right thing to do, but they default to doing nothing. The best way to combat that is to take the time to develop a better understanding of your own instincts which will cause you to build confidence in the decisions you need to make. I suggest you take a look at this list of books to begin training your instincts. Believe me, you’re going to need it in the long run.

If your entrepreneurial instincts are strong enough, consider looking at this list of books for entrepreneurs or any number of lists that Shepherd.com has to offer. It is a great resource for all my book lovers and those interested in building a business.
